Maker Faire

All ages welcome. No experience necessary. Camp Couture is incorporating a more ‘green’ learning experience & therefore we have teamed up with swap-o-rama- & the Maker Faire to showcase a collection of reconstructed clothing on a runway. This next year will be our 10th exhibition.

In class, students will bring in old clothes & recycle them into something modern, chic & completely ‘new’. Students will learn to reconstruct, design, and learn new sewing techniques.

The outfits will be presented on a runway at the Maker Faire. Students are encouraged to make multiple outfits for themselves and their friends. Come be apart of the next fashion show this spring!

Camp Couture will be holding several drop-in hours of instruction for participants to work on their Maker Faire outfits.

Please Note: May 20^th is a MANDATORY Runway practice date for all participants at the San Mateo Expo Center.We will be distributing tickets and making sure the entire crew is properly rehearsed.

Maker Fair Package Includes:

– 5 classes (attend 1 of the weekly sessions) 3:30- 5:30

– 1 MANDATORY Runway practice (Friday May 20^th from 3:30-5:30pm)
