KIDS’ SEWING BIRTHDAY PARTIES

A Camp Couture birthday party is a hands-on sewing and design experience. Guests learn to sew, create something of their own, and leave with a finished project they can use, wear, or enjoy.

No previous sewing experience is required. Projects are selected according to the age, experience, and size of the group so beginners and experienced sewists can work successfully together.

PARTY FEE

$200 per guest

6-guest minimum — $1,200 minimum party fee

The party fee includes:

  • 3½-hour private studio experience
  • Sewing and design instruction
  • Use of Camp Couture sewing machines, tools, and equipment
  • Standard fabric and project materials
  • Project preparation, setup, and cleanup
  • A finished project for each guest to take home

Specialty fabrics, premium materials, or more elaborate projects may have an additional materials fee.

HOURS

Party length: 3½ hours

The scheduled time includes arrival, instruction, sewing, project completion, food/cake, and departure.

Please arrive on time. Parties end at the scheduled time.

Additional studio time: $350 per hour, when available. Additional time must be arranged in advance.

PROJECTS

Camp Couture projects are creative, useful, and designed to give guests the satisfaction of making something themselves.

Projects may include:

  • Messenger bags
  • Tote bags
  • Pillows with appliqué or patches
  • Pajama pants or shorts
  • Skirts
  • Purses and zipper pouches
  • Plushies
  • Upcycled T-shirt dresses
  • Scrunchies and accessories
  • Other age-appropriate sewing and fashion projects

The party project is selected in advance based on the age and sewing experience of the group. Project options may vary depending on complexity, group size, and available materials.

Guests generally work on the same type of project while choosing fabrics, trims, appliqués, and other details to make their creations individual.  Additional smaller projects will be available for those who finish early.

AGES & EXPERIENCE

Parties can be designed for different ages and skill levels. Projects are selected to fit comfortably within the party time.

Ages 5–7: Mini Couturiers

Younger designers are introduced to sewing and fashion through a simplified, age-appropriate project with plenty of hands-on assistance.

Projects may include a pillow, plushie,  mini purse aer ideal for the beginner project selected for the group.

Ages 7–9: Beginning Sewists

Guests learn basic sewing-machine skills while completing a project such as a tote bag, plushie, or  messenger bag with embellishments such as  patches and pretty trims.

Ages 10–14: Fashion Studio

Older children and teens can work on more involved projects such as pajama pants, skirts, purses, messenger bags, purses, upcycled garments.

 

HELPERS & STAFFING

Camp Couture provides instruction and supervision during sewing.

Staffing is determined by the number and ages of guests and the complexity of the project. Larger groups and younger children may require an additional Camp Couture instructor/helper.

If additional staffing is required, the fee will be discussed before the party is confirmed.

Parents are welcome to assist with food, cake, and general party activities, as  Camp Couture instructors supervise sewing machines and studio equipment.

FOOD & CAKE

You are welcome to bring birthday cake, food, snacks, and  beverages.

Food and drinks must remain in the designated party area and away from sewing machines, irons, fabric, and equipment.

Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring substantial decorations, catering, or other party supplies.

 

OPTIONAL ADD-ONS

Additional Studio Time — $350/hour

Extend your studio reservation when scheduling permits. Must be arranged in advance.

Fashion Goodie Bags — $25 per guest

Customized fashion and sewing-themed goodie bags may include accessories, a small sewing project or kit, keepsakes, jewelry, treats, or other items selected for the party.

Dessert Bar — starting at $250

We can arrange a dessert presentation so you can arrive, sew, and celebrate. Final pricing depends on the number of guests and selections.

Fashion Photoshoot & Makeup Artist — starting at $850

Turn the finished creations into a fashion experience with professional makeup and a photoshoot. Availability and final pricing must be confirmed in advance.

BOOKING & GUEST COUNT

A 6-guest minimum applies to all birthday parties.

Additional guests are $200 per person.

Your final guest count must be confirmed in advance so that Camp Couture can prepare the appropriate materials, machines, workspace, and staffing.

Because materials and staffing are prepared for the confirmed number of guests, the final fee is based on the confirmed guest count even if a guest does not attend.

RESERVATIONS & CANCELLATIONS

A 50% deposit is required to reserve your date. Your party is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

Because each party requires dedicated studio time, project preparation, materials, and staffing, cancellation and rescheduling policies will be provided when your reservation is made.
