Camp Couture is a professional fashion studio in San Mateo that provides instruction, and or assistance in making a  creative vision come to life.

Founded in 2005 by Alexandria von Bromssen. Camp Couture is now in its 11th year.

Camp Couture strives to be a leader in the instruction of creativity, technical/haute couture sewing instruction, and repurposing techniques for kids of ALL ages.  . You can be 8, 9, 14 or 70.  No one is ever too young, too old too or too cool to learn and this is especially true with creativity.

Each student is challenged to set his/her ability. We have 4-6 teachers and each age group has a dedicated mentor for the week.  No student is ever held back or prevented from propelling forward.  We aim to teach well and feel our method is a superior one.

Camp Couture hosts a summer camp as well as year round classes and workshops for students for kids and teens.  Parties of all kinds are also offered, girl scout troops bags classes, and more… So if you are looking for alternative approach to a party, a sewing circle is functional.  The gift of knowledge and or a skill is one that empowers.

More serious Camp couture students have gone to on to be accepted to Pratt, FIDM, Risde University, Ottis, Academy of Art University and the Design School of Paris, France. Please review our portfolio development class for university fashion admission portfolios.

The professional studio also accepts custom design requests, sewing machine repair services as well as providing alterations.
