A few words from Shalina Chen herself…..

As a first year student at Parsons School of Design, surviving my foundation studio courses and grazing the different neighborhoods of NYC are my top priorities. It is a definite privilege and luxury to attend Parsons, but it wasn’t without the efforts of Alexandria’s mentoring and the persuading of my parents that allowed for the opportunity. I’m currently studying for a degree in fashion design with a $12,000 dean’s scholarship. In hopes of pursuing fashion, I recently started interning for a women’s wear designer, Richard Chai LLC. With fashion week coming up in February, I am more eager than ever to explore fashion and to be introduced to a revered industry event!
